I really enjoyed this romantic suspense novel. I want an Ethan of my own. Can't give it 5 stars because there were typos and every time someone said "I am" instead of I'm it seemed a bit formal and jerked me out of the flow of the story. I would recommend this one though. Great hero and heroine as pretty great too.

Why I loved Ethan - He recognizes something is different about Erica the first time he sees her. He comes to her rescue when she is mugged and from that moment on, he protects her, respects her and treats her SO good. He moves at her pace, and even tries hard to control his protective tendencies when she tells him she is independent. He is alpha but never crosses the line to alpha-hole. She does get mad at him when he puts Marco in his place, but I cheered him on. I want my man to fight for me - he did not start the "fight", but he finished it!! He wasn't just being a jealous jerk which she eventually realizes. I loved that even in their sexy times, he was so respectful of her, but when she tells him to let loose...WOW does he. I loved that he was not perfect either. When his PTSD/claustrophobia was getting to him at one point, she helped him through it. I loved how he knew he loved her and did not back down or run scared, ever.

Why I liked Erica - She had very minimal TSTL moments - more like poor judgement trying to maintain her independence but she was cautious not flat out stupid. She was an awesome loyal friend and had a fun, playful personality.

Looking forward to the rest of the Reynolds security series.

needs a good editor...run-on sentences, missing punctuation, minor spelling errors, are distracting, but did not stop me from finishing the book...already have her second book in my queue to read!!
Unlike the other reviews I didn't think this book was that great. I wasn't pulled into the story. The editing was horrible and the way it jumped perspectives was confusing and annoying. It took a lot of effort to read this and while I couldn't guess those behind everything it wasn't griping or surprising. It just fell flat.

In addition to the editing errors I was really bothered by the lack of technical inaccuracies. I never expect an author to know everything about everything but for a book to be believable their needs to be a certain amount of research and fact checking....

I gave it two stars because with some weeks and improvements I think it could be a decent story
LOVED this book. This book really kept my attention and I couldn't put it down. I loved the story line, the characters and the build up between the two main characters was excellent!! I totally fell in love with Ethan - the perfect guy! I look forward to reading more from the author - great book!!
This book was just perfect for me. The pacing was good, the plot was good (although a bit predictable) and the characters were good.
Love how strong and fierce Ethan was written. Erica was such a romantic, but she was also strong willed. This book kept me entertained and on edge with just enough suspense and just enough romance. Highly recommend this book. On to book two.
The book had a !little mystery, but the story was very predictable. The heroine ran a coffee shop but she and her partner were a!ways absent. Couldn't figure out how they stayed in business. Also there were entirely too many sex scenes. I found myself skipping ahead.
This was a free book that I decided to read and hope for the best. Some of the freebies have been a bit hit and miss. This book was pretty good.

The good stuff... the hero was an Alpha who had no problems admitting his attraction. He was a smooth talker who knew how to be sexy but sweet.

The heroine wasn't too bad, but I did find her a little immature. The plot moves along with mystery thrown in and friendships formed.

The bad stuff...like I said, I found the heroine immature.

The big baddie though was I think the book needed better editing. It needed to be more consistent with contractions. They were used sometimes, then at other times it was written like the characters were talking like English was their second language. It's distracting.

Overall this was a good story with a nice romance. I will definitely be reading more from this author.
